Someone opens Tellwise to answer one question: is next week going to be tight. They need the answer within four seconds, without reading a legend.
That is a genuinely hard design problem: a forecast line, a confidence band, warnings, subscriptions and anomalies, on a laptop and a phone, without turning it into a trading terminal.
What you would own
- Own the forecast screen, the dashboard and the flow from adding transactions to an answer.
- Design the chart: a clean line, an honest band, warning markers that read at a glance.
- Keep the visual system honest: hairlines and space, one violet-blue, green for up, clay for a warning.
- Sit in on customer calls. The person who watches someone use this should be the person who designs it.
What we are looking for
- Five or more years designing software people use to make a decision, not to browse.
- A portfolio with at least one dense, data-heavy screen you are proud of.
- You build your own prototypes, in code or close to it.
- You have a view about typography and can defend it.
How hiring runs
A thirty-minute call with a founder, then a paid work session on a real problem from our backlog (three to four hours), then two conversations with people you would work alongside. Four steps, usually inside two weeks. We tell you where you stand at every one, and we reply either way.
